Private Nanny in Husthwaite

Full time, permanent position

A position has come up for a Nanny to care for 2 primary school children (4 and 7yrs) based in the village of Husthwaite between Easingwold and Thirsk.

Mostly the role will be;
Term time; Tuesday to Friday 3pm until 7pm
School Holidays; as above but from 830am
Saturdays required but can be flexible on time and dates, (later starts/alternate weeks for example)
The position is:
Afternoon school pick up of the children from school (5 minute walk from the house)
Provide external activities: sporting activities, play dates, taking to parties, etc as necessary. Afternoon activities inside the home such as baking, crafts and outdoor activities. There is a lot of outdoor space (the house is on a farm) where the children can roam and play so intuition and imagination is a must.

Early evening routine
Light housework in children's rooms, clear up after dinner etc.
During school holidays the children will need caring for all day and appropriate activities will need to be arranged and overseen.

The children's father has built and works on a camping and glamping site on the farm. The children grandparents (Fathers' parents) also live in a property next door to the farmhouse.
It is important that the nanny is someone who has strong initiative as the family are very busy. They will need to be very well organised and provide feedback to the family on how the children are doing. Jobs could include picking up shopping and going to the cash and carry for the campsite . The Nanny will need plenty of energy, must like the outdoors and isn’t afraid of getting dirty and building dens in the woods!
