At Cheeky Chops Childcare we strive to set the standards for ensuring families and childcare providers’ needs are not just met but exceeded. To ensure the happiness, safety and welfare of both parties and create long lasting relationships between them both.
Cheeky Chops Childcare is a family founded and run business. Anna and Mark Scott both have a career in childcare and management.
Anna Scott has previously been a retail manager gaining a full understanding of how to run a business. Anna then moved in to childcare and has worked across many sectors of childcare. Anna has both worked in and run a nursery, worked in a school nursery and worked with older children in a pupil referral unit for Redcar and Cleveland council. Anna went on to run the PRU and gained her PTTLLS qualification. Anna also holds Level 3 in Children’s Care Learning and Development, Level 3 in skills for managing behaviour, Level 3 Emergency Paediatric 1st Aid Certificate and level 3 Managing Paediatric illness, injury and emergencies.
Moving to York 6 years ago Anna became a Nanny and has worked with children aged from 1 year to 16 years. She has been lucky to have worked with some wonderful families and is still in close contact with the families she has been placed with. Anna is the primary contact for Cheeky Chops and deals with the recruitment, placements and engagements.
Mark went to Leeds University and left with a BA (Hons) and QTS. He worked in 3 different schools and was asked to go to a failing school to help take it out of special measures. Mark has worked across both key stage 1 and 2 predominantly in Year 6 helping children through their SATs and preparing them for transition to KS3. Mark has then moved in to retail management and currently manages a store making circa £5 million profit per annum. Mark deals with the HR and financial side of the business.
